The man who greeted us, arranged our breakfasts, took care of the bills, etc. He took care of us in excellent style as though we were privileged guests. I thought he was the property owner with his care for the hotel, when he was not waiting on us.
I am sorry that we did not have an occasion to dine at the Domaine de Barres because the restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday evening; the two nights we were there. (I would not stay a Sunday or Monday again with dining unavailable.)

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The grounds are stunning, with lots of space and beautiful greenery. The cabins are well-decorated and organized, with a fully equipped kitchen and everything spotlessly clean. The indoor pool is a nice touch and the staff are always ready to help and explain anything. There is convenient parking nearby and easy access to the cabins. Plus, there are two big supermarkets in the nearby town. We had an incredible stay and would highly recommend it!

We had an outstanding stay at Domaine De Barres. the lovely old building has been beautifully renovated and offers stunning views. Despite the wet weather conditions upon our arrival, we were well accommodated and looked after. the staff were friendly and provided a locked garage for our motorcycles. It was a welcome stopover and we enjoyed using the hotel restaurant, bar, and pool. The breakfast was nice and the overall atmosphere of the place was pleasant. Cons: Nothing 🙌.

The rural surroundings of the hotel were scenic and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay during a hectic business trip. the hotel amenities included a well, maintained pool and an enjoyable 9, hole golf course on, site. the restaurant served decent meals, which were a suitable culmination to a refreshing day.
The decor of the rooms was a bit too minimalist and not quite to our taste. the unreliable WiFi connection proved to be more frustrating than convenient, especially when having to catch up on work emails.
